Another bouncing ball animation but this time in Adobe After Effects. I wanted to add some extra details to this one so I made the ball a glowing neon color as well as adding a sort of zero gravity space for it to bounce around in. In this case, I used an audio spectrum ring to create the zone and then tried to make the ball bounce with the explosion of the beat around the ring. I tried to keep the ball inside the ring as best as I could as well as trying to keep its speed consistent. There are some spots that need improvement but I'm happy with the outcome nonetheless.

Pendulum
A simple swinging pendulum animation that I did in the beginning of the semester. This was a good practice and beginning to better understand the principles of animation and motion as well as beginning to get used to using a tablet and Adobe Animate. There really isn't' much to say about this. I wanted to try and add some extra details by adding a theoretical wall at the end that the pendulum bounces off of, before swinging a bit and stopping.
Walk Cycles

The above link is a simple stick figure walk cycle made for my animation class. I used simple figures so I could work on the fluidity of the animation more. This also gives me ideas of how I can animate more detailed figures in the future and use this as a basis. I also made four different versions in a sort of Beetles style walk along to make it more entertaining.
Kinetic Typography

Video is at the above link.
This is a kinetic typography animation using the song Seven Nation Army. I used an audio spectrum and particle effects in After Effects to create the background and moving text. I created the animation in a sort of nod to the release of Battlefield 1 which has made use of the same song for it's trailers.

Lip Sync
This is my final animation for class. I choose to use a simple snowman model but decided to use more than one program to work on the animation. I made the model in Adobe Illustrator and then imported it into Adobe Character Animate. From there I learned how to use the software, using a web camera to mask my face to the face of my character and then lip syncing him with the song that plays in the background. After I was satisfied with the result, I moved the project into Adobe after Effects to add a background and add a falling snow layer. After that as completed, I moved the project to Adobe Premiere where I added some video edits to clean it up. Overall I'm very happy with the final result.

About Me
Hi everyone,
My name is Alex Ingles. I come from Western New York, where the sun never shines and the weather sucks. I'm currently studying as a digital artist at the University of Tampa having transferred from the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York.
Reality is I'm just a giant nerd who watches anime and cartoons in my free time or plays video games. I'm also currently attempting to get a YouTube carrier off the ground featuring a lot of Let's Plays and other material so if you're interested in that I certainly like to talk about it.
Other than that there really isn't that much to me. I expect to learn quite a bit about animation from this class, certainly more than I have anywhere else considering everywhere else didn't offer a teacher with a master's degree in it. I think it's going to be a pretty fun class and at anything I'll try to make it fun regardless.
Thanks for reading, I hope everyone has a great semester!
